Information Office   

The Information Office of the National Park is located beside the Upper Lake car park, on the Green Road, at the Upper Lake, Glendalough. This lovely converted cottage was once the home of the local forester before the area was transferred to the Park. The office contains an exhibit on the Park and its wildlife. The Park's Education staff are on duty here to give details on the local walks and wildlife in the area.

Postcards, maps, information leaflets and guidebooks are also on sale. First aid facilities, including an AED (defibrillator) may be accessed at the Information Office. It also has a lost property facility.

Behind the Information Office is the Sensory Garden. The garden contains a variety of plants which are interesting not only to look at but also to touch, smell and even to listen to!

Opening Hours

• From May 1st until September 30th the office is open every day from 10am to 5.30pm.
• From October 1st until October 31st the office is open on weekends only from 10am to 5.30pm.
• From November 1st until January 31st the office is open on weekends* from 10am to 4pm.
• From February 1st until April 30th the office is open on weekends* from 10am to 5.30pm.
• The Office also opens during the local school holidays for Christmas and Easter.
