Peregrine Falcon

Peregrine Falcon

A Peregrine diving on its prey can reach speeds of 410 km per hour, making it the fastest creature on the planet. It feeds on smaller birds - usually pigeons and jays. It nests on steep cliffs. Wicklow Mountains National Park is home to several pairs of these spectacular birds.
