Seven-Spot Ladybird

Seven-Spot Ladybird

The Seven-Spot is Ireland's commonest ladybird. Ladybirds are brightly coloured, well rounded beetles. Most eat aphids. The bright colours serve as a warning that they are poisonous and not good to eat.
