In the winter months (December, January & February), the National Park Education staff are available to visit primary schools throughout Co. Wicklow. Due to the high demand, visits are by invitation only. Each Co. Wicklow primary school should receive an invitation every four years. To check when your school is next scheduled for a visit, please ring the Education Centre (0404 45656).
Each school visit consists of a maximum of four one hour sessions. Each session consists of a visit to one class. The following themes are available:
- Irish Habitats
- Irish Birds
- Irish Mammals
- Irish Bugs
- Irish Wildflowers
- Irish Bats
- Irish Trees
Biodiversity: Suitable for 5th & 6th Classes only. For younger classes doing requiring a biodiversity theme, we recommend Irish Mammals or Irish Birds.
Infant Classes: Only Bugs & Mammals are suitable for Infants.
