The almost 23,000 hectares of Wicklow Mountains National Park offer amazing hillwalking and recreational activities. At all times, people enjoying the area must remember that the primary purpose of the National Park is the conservation of wildlife, habitats and landscape. For this reason, not all recreational activities are permitted in the Park. Some activities require a permit. Please check in advance.

We ask all visitors to follow the principles of Leave No Trace. Please try to minimise your impact on the environment and be considerate of wildlife, farm animals and other visitors.
