The Spinc – Route Upgrade and Native Woodland Planting
During Spring 2020 significant works will start on the Spinc to create a new trail to access the Spinc boardwalk. The ‘600 steps’ will be removed and replaced by a graded trail which will wind its way up through an area of newly planted Native Woodland. The woodland will be fenced to protect the emerging trees from grazing. These works will be good for both walkers and wildlife. The new trail shall be more sustainable. The native woodland shall provide improve the area’s biodiversity by increasing our areas of native habitats.
As work continues, there will be disruptions to access, often at short notice. Route closures and trail diversions will be in place for short periods of time. Please follow all diversions when in place.
