Knocksink Wood is a Nature Reserve, nestled just on the border of counties Wicklow and Dublin. This wonderful woodland designated both a nature reserve and Special Area of Conservation is visited by many people every year. Visits to the site, like many other outdoor spaces, increased dramatically during the pandemic. This has unfortunately led to several negative impacts affecting the area. The vast majority of visitors love Knocksink and would happily protect and celebrate this incredible woodland.

Join Leave No Trace Ireland as they launch a Restoration project with this webinar, funded by The Community Foundation For Ireland and in partnership with the National Parks and Wildlife Service. Padraic Creedon, an ecologist at Leave No Trace Ireland, would like to take you on a virtual journey through Knocksink wood. See the fantastic habitats and life that call this woodland their home, discover what impacts are affecting the woodland, and learn how you can get involved and help protect and enjoy this truly unique and wonderful place.
